TheAGE Mechanical Supervisor reports to the Mechanical WorkshopController and isanexperienced and skilled mechanical supervisor undertaking a rangeof detailed maintenance activities in the AGE bay demonstrating theability to derive diagnostic mechanicaltechniques.Thepost holder will be responsible for maintaining airworthinessthrough appropriate task delegation and authorisation on theMechanical AGE activities and will be able to demonstrate awarenessof broader external dependencies and identifies areas forcontinuousimprovement.CoreActivitiesUndertakedetailed maintenance inspection and supervision activities on theMechanical components in the AGE bay. Assuring work carried out hasbeen completed in accordance with the SOW / Work package using therelevant approved technical information. Resolving faults andmaintenance issues including an awareness of configurationmanagementUndertakeand complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities ofMechanical components in the AGE bay which may include asappropriate component removals inspections repairs modificationsfault rectifications replacements and/or functional/system test.Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying outresponsibilities appropriate to the role and takes directionappropriatelyMaintainpersonal & teams task authorisation for working on AGE inaccordance withregulatoryrequirementsEnsurestaff are sufficiently competent and approved for the maintenancetasks allocated to them. Maintain personal & teams taskauthorisation for working on components in accordance with AMCrequirementsUndertakemechanical support tasks within the AGE bay facility which arerequired to maintain compliance with the MOE andregulatoryprocedures (e.g. oversight checks control of tooling / testequipmentetc.)Undertakefault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards for found faultsduringmaintenanceResponsiblefor meeting agreed delivery targets in the short to medium termthrough the supervision of others. Progress reporting againstdelivery targets tomanagement.LogBooks maintained as appropriate within your trade and skillsboundaries.Providesguidance and leadership to the team. Develops team members usingformal assessment processes e.g. Performance Reviews supports andsponsors training requests including on the job training .Demonstrates sound and comprehensive communication and peoplemanagement skills in order to exchange complicatedinformationEnsuretimely Supervision of all maintenance activities includingTechnical Instructions related to Mechanical Aircraft GroundEquipmentKeyAccountabilitiesPerformanceindicatorsEnsure the effective management of Regulatory activities by settingdelivery targets monitoring progress and developing performanceimprovement programmes. Prioritises activities within/across teamsto maximise efficiency. Responsible for the assessment of escalatedissues for any impact on continuing airworthiness and generatingeffective resolution or sponsoring escalation tomanagementProcedure/standardsComply with the regulatory framework its associated procedures andstandards and any other company procedures and standards asapplicable. Identify and propose changes asrequiredSafetyManagementSystemPromote the application of human factors error management riskmanagement and safety assurance within the Part 145 team togetherwith the proactive analysis mitigation and management ofhazardsCompletionofActivitiesEnsure all Part 145 activities are appropriately documented andairworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT /paper based). Ensure all Part 145 activities are performed bysuitably qualified experienced and authorised personnel. Providesupport and guidance to theteamManagementSystemAssuranceEnsure maintenance activities are compliant with the Governance andAssurance framework including supporting Process confirmations andindependent assurance audits. Support the response to auditfindings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide informationto support the relevant reviews. Support the implementation ofidentified improvements to overcome any noncompliance and monitoreffectivenessStatutory/Regulatory& LegislativerequirementsAble to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding andapplication of the relevant continuingairworthinessregulatory framework. Support the implementation of any regulatorydriven changes into the maintenance activities. Ensure compliancewith all other requirements e.g. ITAR EaPWISOContractualRequirementsComply with all applicablecontractualrequirements.RequirementsRequiresa minimum of 2 years working at Supervisor level prior toundertaking thisrole.Completionof an Engineering Apprenticeship ideally in AeronauticalEngineering or Military equivalent apprenticeship / qualifications.Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of City &Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance orequivalentExperiencedand competent leader at this level.Demonstratingbreadth of experience currency & recency capturing skillsknowledge andauthoritiesPracticalexperience and expertise in the application of aviation safetystandards and safe operatingpractices.Acomprehensive knowledge of Expositions Functionally MandatedProcedures and Managementtraining.LeadershipFoundation.HumanFactors E&PW ITAR & Fire TrainingAwarenessOnthe Job Training InstructionalTechniquesUKDriving licence (driving in country to place of work will berequired)
