Allen Spolden isactively recruiting for a Sr. Microbiologist with pharmaceuticalmanufacturing experience. This is a perm (Direct Hire) opportunity.Relocationassistance will beprovidedLocation:Gulfport, MS (100% onsite isrequired.)WorkSchedule: M-F, flexible start (4am up to11am).Salary:Dependent on experience. Probably exemptposition.TheSr. Microbiologist will provide quality control support topharmaceutical manufacturing operations by conducting variousmicrobiological assays for the purpose of microbial growthdetection andidentification.PrincipalDutiesinclude:Performroutine preparation of samples and reagents used for testinganalysis.Report and documentresults following establishedprocedures.Prepare liquid and solidmedia.Participate in laboratoryinvestigations of out of trend/specificationresults.Calibrate, operate, andmaintain analytical instrumentation for product testing, includingroutine preventive maintenance andtroubleshooting.Actively contributeto a team setting within the laboratory and potentially with otherwork teams to increase efficiency, solve problems, generate costsavings, improve quality, and provide new productsupport.Ensure personal trainingrequirements are met and that training records arecurrent.Knowledgeand SkillRequirements:Minimumof a BS in Biology or Microbiology (or relateddiscipline).10+ years ofmicrobiology experiencerequired.Proficiency inmicrobiological techniques such as aseptic testing, microbialmonitoring, gram staining, andplating.Knowledge and control ofanalytical equipment including calibration andmaintenance.Knowledge of computersoftware, including relevant applications such as MicrosoftOffice.Knowledge of CGMPsregulations.Understanding ofquality systems including change control, deviations andCAPAs.Ability to handle multipletasks concurrently and complete tasks in a timelymanner.Strong written and verballanguage skills to effectively read and write SOP s and related labreports and communicate with personnel at all levels in theorganization.RequirementsEducationand ExperienceB.S. in Biology or equivalentexperience. 5+ years experience inMicrobiology PharmaceuticalManufacturing Laboratory experiencerequired. Knowledge of computersoftware, including relevant applications such as MicrosoftOffice. Expert knowledge andunderstanding of quality control, SOPs, cGMPs, OSHA, and FDApolicies andregulations.PhysicalRequirements:Ability to lift 50lbs. or moredaily.
