Weare looking to recruit a National Operations Manager to be based inPretoria.The "culturalfit" is as important to this company as the"experiencefit".We are on the huntfor a hands on, attention to detail, cross department collaborator.We are looking for an Ops Manager who can impart knowledge,inspire, lead and develop staffspotential.Reporting to theMDJobSpecificationTake overallaccountability for the warehousing, logistics, domestic procurementfunction, stock management system of the business and branchmanagement functions on a nationalbasisEngagewith the relevant departments and individuals in order to managethis portfolio in an active, business supportive andgovernance-orientedmannerAnactive and constructive member of the managementteamLocalprocurement: annual budget and monthly purchase plan compilation byline item + daily purchase tracker vsbudgetSupplierengagement and negotiations: costs, terms, quality, logistics, MOQ,etcConsistentcollaboration with sales team to ensure suitable stock mix,planning andvisibilityMonthlywall to wall stock take, daily cycle counts, annual audit stocktake and requisitereportingManagementreporting and strong execution capability re continuous improvementand solutionsmindsetERPownership: stock masterfile management, stock classification,adjustments, price uploads,etcManagementof all logistics providers: selection, contract negotiation, costs,service levels, paperwork, matching to geographic capability andsales executionrequirementsWarehousingmanagement: inbound/outbound, space optimization, securitymeasures, SOPs, labour allocation, KPIs, reporting, health andsafety, housekeeping, strong focus on teamcultureAccountable for slow movingstock identification and remedial planexecutionVarious administration andbranch management functions: cash management of counter sales andpetty cash, office management supplies, branch cleaning services,landlord management, outsourced Metrofile management, credit notemanagement and engagement with Regional Sales Managers,etcManage the warehousing team in aholistic fashion to ensure the relevant performance as well ascross coverage of function to permit a sustainable teamenvironmentIndividual needs todemonstratea.A hands-on, operationally informed approach at alltimesb.Consultative yet decisivestylec.Clear communicatord.
