  • Contribute to the development of KAFD’s Fire Prevention & Rescue systems, processes, procedures, and controls, and continuously identify and recommend improvements while ensuring compliance with HSE guidelines, standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Guide the effective evaluation of fire risks at KAFD’s premises and the development of fire risk mitigation measures.
  • Oversee the effective development of Emergency Response Plans which include but not limited to evacuation procedures, delivery of first aid, and fire-fighting best methods to minimize harm in the event of a fire or other related emergencies.
  • Oversee enforcement of KAFD specific fire and safety rules and regulations. Control the investigation and implementation of appropriate disciplinary action on violators of safety codes within the establishment.
  • Ensure smooth operations of KAFD fire stations and follow up on the timely and regular maintenance of all fire safety equipment.
  • Secure execution of regular checks within KAFD premises to remove any fire hazard that is found within the workplace or construction sites.
  • Encourage the regular delivery of training courses and other activities that will develop and maintain the interest of KAFD’s employees and tenants in establishing a fire-safe environment.
  • Remain abreast with latest advancements in fire rescue and prevention methods and communicate the same to relevant stakeholders.

Skills

General Skills:
  • Carry out day-to-day operations to ensure work continuity and to meet internal stakeholder’s requirements.
  • Undertake moderately complex activities and compiles requisite information to facilitate management decision making.
  • Comply with applicable policies and procedures to ensure that the assigned tasks are carried out consistently and in accordance with pre-defined procedural frameworks.
  • Execute responsibilities on any special projects or quality improvement initiatives assigned by the reporting senior.
  • Coordinate internally across stakeholders in KAFD and externally with vendors and customers to understand their requirements.
  • Coordinate with relevant agencies, analyze market surveys provided by third parties and interprets data to participate in improving KAFD's business performance.
  • Develop and updates reporting tools and templates to improve quality of standard reporting.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as reporting, documenting, monitoring and compliance activities, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Analyze standard reports to identify variances and escalates issues, if any.

Education

Building Construction, Engineering, Fire Protection Technology or a similar field. #J-18808-Ljbffr
