Position: Legal Director Media Reports to: Managing Director of Media Industries Sector: Media Job Location: NEOM Role Purpose: Reporting to the Managing Director of Media Industries, with dotted line reporting to NEOM CLO, the Legal Director for Media will establish a cohesive, high-performing legal department which instils confidence in all our stakeholders. Key Accountabilities: • Support Managing Director of Media Industries as required in the fulfilment of their role. • Champion a best-in-class service to our clients, vendors, and other stakeholders by delivering a seamless, timely, hassle-free contracting process. • Develop the full operating model for our legal function establishing a support network of external law firms, along with (in time) recruiting and developing a high-performance team. • Act as Thought Leader to the CEO and senior executives, advising on legal matters and offering insights on liabilities. • Ensure compliance of internal & external regulations, policies & law. • Maintain corporate relations with government entities, both in Saudi Arabia and other markets. • Clearly articulate our vision to the marketplace ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our proposition and our offering • Ensure the team understand and know what they need to deliver and can go and figure it out . • Work collaboratively with the senior NMHC leadership team to deliver stated company objectives. • Prepare and present materials to the NMHC Board as required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: • Demonstrates extensive senior level experience leading a legal team within the media or with a legal firm with a media division. • Has previous experience in production (studio management, rental contracts, filming permits), commercial real estate (leasing contracts), investments and incubation (M&A deals & JV) and industry learning (training divisions and legal risks/matters). • Skilled at handling complex international, multi-cultural contracts in different legal jurisdictions (familiarity with Saudi law and regulations a benefit)• Creates an exceptional team environment where everyone thrives and can be their authentic self. • Builds effective relationships with senior stakeholders & partners, demonstrating superb story-telling ability, diplomacy, presentation, and communication skills. • A pioneer: sees the opportunity, always asks what if and converts into a competitive advantage. • Finds solutions and delivers success regardless of the challenges. Able to deliver the now whilst setting the vision and strategy for long-term growth. • Has the ability to perform in a start-up/highly unstructured environment, where personal drive and initiative are essential to make progress and succeed. Qualifications: L aw degree, Minimum 15 years of experience working in a media or related industry . Company Industry
