Job details

Duties And Responsibilities Performs ultrasound examinations including ultrasonography of the abdomen, pelvis, obstetric & breast. Submit the images to the radiologist for discussion and reporting. Call the radiologist for consultation during the examination in difficult cases. Be responsible for correct identification of patients and site of examination. Explain the procedure, initruct the patient in assuming physical position for examination. Selects transducer and adjusts equipment controls according to the organ to be examined. Keys patient information into ultrasound equipment to maintain record of images. Records the images on the machine and transfer it to PACS. Responsible for recording the details of the patient to the logbook. Keeps ultrasound rooms in a neat and orderly appearance at all times. Assists radiologist in performing special procedures such as biopsy or drainage. Be knowledgeable in all sterile techniques and nursing procedures necessary in the area of ultrasound Responsible for knowing ell the hospital rules and necessary procedures and handling an emergency situation. JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Be holder of appropriate radiographic/technological diploma/Bachelor degree with special training in ultrasonography. Experience: should hold At least 2 years post-diploma . Language: Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable Required Licenses/Registrations: Saudi Commission for Health Specialties & Ministry of Health Saudi license. He or she must be in continuous good ultrasonography practice and
