Job Purpose Overseeing the overall interaction with the farmers by ensuring a strong relationship is established between the company and the local farmers and recommending relevant solutions to the different strategies Key Duties and Responsibilities Manage farmer sentiments by maintaining close interaction with the farmers, and highlight any concerns to the management Identify and communicate farmer insights to management, and recommend relevant solutions to the different strategies Ensure to establish a strong relationship is established between client and the local farmers, and regular events are organized to understand the needs and concerns of the farmers Ensure development of land lease agreements and any other required contracts (e.g., produce sales) with farmers, in coordination with legal team Work closely with county ops at to manage farmer relationships and agreements in case of expropriation Oversee and ensure allocation of appropriate technical advisory services to farmers - in alignment with client's ESD Ensure onboarding of a certifying agency and development the certification and grading process for CO produce, with the required guidelines and procedures for quality control Set up a grading facility in coordination with D&C and monitor progress - according to developed schedules and guidelines Set up a processing facility/ work with ESD and D&C to access the other established processing facilities and farmers service center - depending on the need Ensure the produce received by the farmers is well managed and smooth functioning of the processing and storage facilities Review and approve the sale strategy and ensure the establishment of all the relevant channels (including actively negotiating bigger channels) Ensure timely distribution of the product through the different channels, identify and raise risks with mitigation measures Managerial/General Responsibilities Act as a member of the executive management team, and participate in the development and refinement of overall vision, strategy, and objectives Direct and formulate the implementation of the divisional strategy, processes, and policies, in line with vision, mission, and corporate objectives Oversees that the overall business strategy/ objectives and ensure its translated into operational business plans and targets for the division and performance is monitored, measured, and reported Ensure that all divisional reports are completed timely and comply with policies, procedures, and standards Direct the preparation of periodical management reports/ progress reports to keep senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making Oversees the preparation and consolidation of the divisional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget. Ensure that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues; areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of divisional objectives through effective leadership and by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating team to maximize performance Provide overall direction and guidance to mentor, coach, motivate and challenge the direct reports and their teams, providing opportunities for growth, training, and development Ensure the alignment with Business partners / HR function in hiring and onboarding the required resources according to the manpower plan and requirements of the department Ensure the alignment with Business partners / HR function direct the development of the divisional structures so that resources are optimally utilized, and communication can take place in an efficient and effective manner Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff in the sector Academic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or management Other Requirements Written and Oral proficiency in Arabic & English languages. Excellent communication skills. Time management and organization skills. Familiarity with standards, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
