Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) isseeking applications for the position of Facilities &Support Services Manager. The applicant will be responsible formanaging facility infrastructures and ensuring the safe, efficient,and effective deployment of personnel and other resources within apre-determined group of area-based buildings.Job RoleDescription• Manage and plan the HBKU facilities andsupport services in ensuring efficient, effective maintenance andfacilities services within a delegated site or group ofbuildings.• Plan the delivery of a safe, efficient, andeffective manner, as well as the resolution of routine problems;services may include maintenance, security, cleaning, wastemanagement, porters, mail, grounds maintenance, parking, andcatering.• Establish and maintain close workingrelationships and partnerships with representatives of QatarFoundation divisions, including but not limited to FacilitiesManagement, HSSE, and other HBKU Collages Facilities teams toprovide the required support.• Monitor the quality offacility services provided by QF contracted personnel. Ensure thatwork is implemented and executed as per generally applicableEnvironmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, including thoseof the State of Qatar.• Assist end-users with operationaltasks relating to maintenance and facilities services such asoperation and maintenance, space planning and furniture supply,office support, janitorial services, transportation, andlandscaping.• Establish massive, cross-functional teamsthat are efficient and cohesive by delegating overallgoals.• Review and update the HBKU/FM Policy and Proceduredocumentation annually and report to the Facilities and SupportServices Director with regular FM Service reports highlightingareas for improvement.• Serve as a point of contact forall matters pertaining to HBKU's new projects with QFCapital Project.• Facilitate the coordination of all HBKUtransportation, custodial, and support servicerequirements.• Other reasonable tasks as assigned by thesupervisor.Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience•Bachelor s degree in a relevant field alongside 8 10 years ofrelevant full-time work experience, 3 of which at a supervisorylevel.• A relevant professional qualification (such asbuilding/maintenance or facilities management), project managementexperience, and practical managerial and leadership skills arerequired.• Outstanding understanding of financialplanning, budgeting, reporting, and related tools.•Outstanding supplier and contract management and governanceknowledge.• Understanding occupational hazards, safetyprocedures, and emergency procedures.• Basic knowledge ofHard FM Services, practical experience in supervising andmonitoring building services/operations using contractors anddirectly employed personnel.• Excellent writing skillswith the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports andcommunications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely;Arabic proficiency is an advantage.• Proficiency in MSOffice applications
