The Doctors Whakatipu is committed to having nursing leaders as integral part of the medical centre leadership team.About the Position and You:We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to lead the nursing team at The Doctors Whakatipu. We are looking for someone who can bring clinical excellence, great ideas for productive and efficient methods of working and a passion for primary care.If you are ready to step up into a leadership role, or already an experienced Nurse or Nurse Lead this is the role for you. Mentoring and support will be available for the right candidate.This is a Full time / Part time role worked over 3 - 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday. The Nurse Lead leads the nursing team, which includes Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Practice Care Assistants, to provide a safe, high quality, efficient and effective nursing service to the practice population. You will be responsible for recruitment, day to day management , collaboration with the centre leadership team, development and implementation of new and existing models of care designed to improve health outcomes and the effective and efficient running of a medical centre. You will also undertake a clinical component.Key attributes include:You hold a current New Zealand practicing certificate (essential)Previous Leadership Experience Required (For Nurse Lead role)Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.Clinical experience and passion for, primary care and primary care nursingPostgraduate qualification is highly desirableGreat communication skills at all levelsYou must be registered with current practicing and CPR certificates.To apply online, click the Apply Now button below. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
