Are you the new Instrumentation Engineer we are looking for?

We at Valmet are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for arranging timely and cost-effective Instrumentation Engineering, Technical Drawings and Documentation according to agreed guidelines. You must be an expert in customer standards & specifications of Valves Industry. You will take care of all instrument engineering activities coordinating with global COE team for Saudi Plant based on Dammam 2nd Industrial City. You will gather details of the specifications from Sales & Application Engineers on daily basis & coordinate with the planning/order management team for the most effectiveness and maintain appropriate records aligned with Valmet policies. You shall be in line with our localization plans and be responsible for your own safety respecting EHS regulations. In detail, your activities include:

Comply with Valmet safety standards & ensure the safety of the team working around.
Arrange instrument solutions; coordinate with Sales, Application Engineers, & Global COE Team defining the most appropriate solutions.
Manage and coordinate timely creation and submission of technical documentation like GAD, Hookup, BOM etc. by working closely with Production. Application, Sales and COE team.
Co-ordinate for all queries in documentation and drawings.
Create technical drawings for indigenous linkages & other local components.
Resolve Technical queries related to instrumentation and testing in production.
Key User of Nelscope for Saudi Plant.
Trouble shooting of Nelscope related queries at Saudi Plant.
Manage Nelscope & its spares inventory.
Technical support Quotation Team, Data validation.
Engineering & Instrumentation support to Sales / Customer, Sales office, and Production lines.
New design & development support to Purchase team Valve related components, Mountings. As part of localization plan.
Coordinates with the Planning/Order Management for order executions.
Manage weekly calls with Sales offices & Global COE Team & follow up.
Maintain clean records and archiving system.
Drive cost saving plans by selecting the right local components when applicable.
Raise any obstacles/related issues in management weekly meeting.
Any other duties as assigned.

What you will need to be successful in the role: You shall be an experienced professional – if you like to be the focal contact of Saudi Plant Instrumentation managing different types of valves & actuators business, please apply! To be successful in this role, you will need in addition:

Relevant educational background such as “Engineering Degree” in Instrumentation/Automation Engineering.
Oil & Gas valve industry field experience is a must.
Experience in Aramco & its JVs Specifications is a plus.
Experience in Valve industry Localization is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure in different operations situations and in different cultural environments.
Passion for delivering best results and collaborating with your colleagues.
Fluent in English. Other languages are plus.
