Electro-Technical Officer - Oiland Gas Operating Company – UAE We are looking for a Electro-Technical Officer in Vessel Operations department for an oil and gas Operating Company based inUAE. Responsibilities: - Look after the safe and efficient operation of generators and distribution systems automatic control systems of propulsion and auxiliary machinery computers and computer networks on board, all electrical machinery and equipment onboard; -Responsible for the periodic checks and maintenance required for compliance with the vessels planned maintenance programme and any maintenance which is required at any time; -Ensure control of work processes are followed prior to commencing all work; -Responsible for the diagnostic and repair work on any electrical machinery and equipment and the reporting of this to the Chief Engineer; -Compile and submit electrical material requisitions for consumables and spares parts for electrical equipment onboard (including main and auxiliary generators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), switchboards, electric motors, Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, vessel navigation systems) to the Chief Engineer and to maintain an onboard inventory of the same; -Present electrical machinery and equipment for the various surveys such as Class, Flag State, internal audits; -Assist the Chief Engineer in any task as directed including non-electrical work; -Assist with dry docking or other major works planning and preparation for electrical related works. Candidate profile: -License STCW III/6; -Minimum 2 years’ experience as ETO on offshore DP2 Classed vessels; -Thorough knowledge of vessel propulsion, diesel engines and diesel gensets, HVAC and electrical/electronic system, DP system, knowledge of shipboard control and automation systems; -High level of computer literacy; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Oracle; -Excellent verbal and written command of the English language; -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; -Highly organised; -High attention to detail.
