Hotel: Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa (RKTHA), Al Rafaa, Mina Al Arab Our guests’ safety and comfort always come first. Which is why we’re seeking out a master multi-tasker with the repair skills needed to keep our hotels looking and feeling their very best. Our new Engineering Assistant will assist our talented engineering team with the everyday maintenance needs. A little taste of your day-to-day: Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
  • Carrying out minor repair works on the carpentry and painting aspects of the hotel and actively involved in preventive and routine maintenance of engineering systems.
  • To contribute to the hotel's energy-saving plan by work and suggestions.
  • To maintain necessary stocks and spare parts to ensure equipment is functioning well without interruption and to follow up with the deliveries.
  • Maintain and take proper care of all work Tools
  • Be a Team player and maintain a good working relationship with other employees
  • Ensuring that the mechanical plant rooms, and store room, are kept clean and tidy, as assigned.
  • Observing prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others
  • Participating in departmental training & developmental programs, as listed.
  • Ability to champion multitasking roles and ready to help others when required.
  • Participate in the planned preventive maintenance of all major Plant/equipment, to ensure minimum disruption to guest service
  • Conducts self professionally and courteously to guests at all times, to reflect the high brand standards.
  • Flexibility in responding to and handling guest requests, as assigned
  • Carry out the minor painting activity including the wallpaper work as and when required in the guest rooms and the public areas of the hotel.
  • Attending the carpentry-related works like fixing broken furniture; furniture fixtures and polishing of wooden surfaces.
  • Being aware of and adhering to the Fire and Life Safety standards of the hotel, ensuring to report any risks to Management.
  • Observing prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others.
  • Monitor and maintain all building systems, as optimized.
What We need from you:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in hotels in a similar position
  • Previous background in repair & maintenance hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and use of test equipment
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written
