One of our esteemed clients in the Shipbuilding industry is currently seeking an IT Specialist with 10+ years of experience alligning to the shipbuilding, Naval or Military industry to be based in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist with a strong background in setting up and managing IT infrastructure for large offices, with a specific focus on data security. This position is crucial in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of IT systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements in this industry, especially related to data security and compliance. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions for large offices, with a focus on the organization.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure scalability and reliability of the IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement data security policies, procedures, and practices tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with data security regulations, including classified and sensitive data handling.
  • Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry-specific regulations and standards related to data security and ensure the organization's compliance.
  • Train staff on security best practices, protocols, and procedures to enhance overall security awareness within the organization.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and hardware problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of configurations, procedures, and security incidents.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure and security protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in setting up and managing IT infrastructure for large offices, particularly in the naval, military, or shipbuilding industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements in the defense and shipbuilding sectors.
  • Strong expertise in network security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and data encryption.
  • Proficiency with security assessment tools and risk management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with naval, military, or shipbuilding projects is highly preferred.
