Must Have

  • The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Obtain a PMP, PgMP, or a similar equivalent project management certification.
  • Possess a minimum of fifteen years of project management experience, specifically in the refining and petrochemical industries, with a strong focus on petrochemical projects.
  • Demonstrate at least seven years of experience as a Senior Project Engineer (Sr. PE) or Project Manager, encompassing responsibilities in design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation of projects with a wide range of values, from $500 million to multi-billion dollar projects.
Job Purpose
  • Lead capital projects to ensure they are executed in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage and provide guidance to the project team to ensure successful project completion.
  • Apply expertise in petrochemical projects to guide the team through all project phases.
  • Oversee and provide technical and project management oversight for design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and project closeout.
  • Resolve project issues promptly in all development phases.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety measures throughout project execution.
  • Implement company initiatives and business processes within the division.
  • Familiarize oneself with company Key Performance Indices (KPIs) and strive to achieve them for division projects.
  • Prepare and review monthly project performance reports, presenting them to senior management.
  • Anticipate and plan for changes in project scope, timing, or costs and obtain management approval.
