The candidate will be required to perform the following:

  • Preform open and cased hole logs processing and interpretation.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of rig operations, mud gases and advanced cuttings analysis.
  • Expert in multimin analysis, rock typing and facies analysis integrating well logs and core data.
  • Conduct Formation pressure data analysis on a well, field and regional scales for fluid type, contacts and pressure communication evaluation.
  • Plan routine and Special Core Analysis (SCAL) program and integrate analysis with wireline logs.
  • Build 1D to 3D petrophysical models to highlight hydrocarbon potential capturing all range of uncertainties.
  • Interpret well testing and PTAs and integrate with the petrophysical models to calibrate reservoir and fluid interpretations.
  • Provide petrophysical solutions for marginal and tight reservoirs in both clastics and carbonates to capture hydrocarbon potential.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide recommendations on minimizing formation damage and designing reservoir stimulation programs.
  • Preform porosity, permeability and saturation height modelling.
  • Model the range of uncertainties in the petrophysical parameters used for resource estimation.
  • Conduct detailed petrophysical studies integrating G&G and engineering data to optimize well planning, placement and resource estimation.
  • Provide Pre/Syn/Post-drilling support for exploration wells.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in utilizing AI/ML techniques for log prediction and estimating petrophysical parameters.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with core and thin section analysis for petrophysical evaluation.
  • Perform scripting to devise innovative formation evaluation techniques.
  • Demonstrate working familiarity with low resistivity pay solutions.
  • Demonstrate working familiarity with heavy oil.
  • Prepare and present professional-quality presentation materials to technical peers and management.
  • Provide mentoring and technical assistance to young professionals
  • Able to take critical decisions and solve problems.
