Overview

We are seeking a 3D Geo-Modeler to join the Central Arabia Division of Southern Area Reservoir Characterization Department.

The Central Arabia Division is responsible for providing characterization and assessment of oil resources of developed fields in Central Arabia and Rub Al Khali Area at the highest definition required through building and maintaining always-ready integrated geomodels to assess and update all in-place oil resources, support the optimization of oil field development and ensure excellence in well placement.

The 3D Geo- Modeler needs to perform advanced data analysis, characterization, and 3D Geo-modelling by utilizing available geological, geophysical, petrophysical, fracture analysis and dynamic modelling data to assess hydrocarbon resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

 

  • Generating Numerical Subsurface Models by utilizing all the available G&G data, geomechanical, petrophysical, and dynamic data to assess hydrocarbon resources.
  • You need to perform 3D Structural, stratigraphic, Petrophysical, and Fluid Saturation Modeling by incorporating leading-edge methodologies and workflows.
  • You must be able to update and monitor 3D models as required for continuous operations and business plan forecasting.
  • Ready to undertake complex assignments independently with minimal direction from supervisor is needed.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure projects are on track, the deliverables are accurate and reliable.
  • Work closely with counterparts professionally and collaboratively.
  • Provide training to junior staff and mentoring and technical assistance to young professionals.

 

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you must hold a bachelor degree or higher in Geology or Geophysics with fifteen years of experience in formation description, characterization and geomodeling of clastic and carbonate reservoirs.

 

 

  • You need to be able to integrate all available Geological, Geophysical, Petrophysical, sedimentological, and reservoir engineering information for advance 3D geological modeling for reservoir architecture, volumetric analysis and flow behavior.
  • Ability to generate a 3D geological model for characterization utilizing limited sparse data with multiple scenarios, uncertainty analysis and risk analysis is necessary.
  • Be familiar with software solutions for Interpretation and Integration of all geological, geophysical, geomechanical, and dynamic data (DSG, Petrel, RMS, Petrosys, Geolog, Teclog, etc.).
  • You will have the ability to take critical decisions in real-time and solve problems.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods necessary to distribute facies and petrophysical properties into a 3D geological model is crucial.
  • You need to able to work with multidiscipline teams.
  • You must able to communicate in English language fluently verbally and in writing along with excellent presentation skills.
