Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Stress Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Dubai .

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out WRC and Stress calculations

     
  • Prepare specification for Stress analysis and supports
  • Preparation of Critical line list based on project specification
  • Preparing Civil loading
  • Performs calculations of critical piping networks like lines connected to Static equipment, rotary equipment, Vibrating service lines, PSV lines and rack lines, storage tanks and Wellheads
  • Rack piping design including loop sizing, anchor fixing and spacing
  • Ensure all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
  • Support and mentor junior engineers and designers

Skills / Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in stress analysis with 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proficient in Caesar-II/CAE-Pipe
  • Knowledge of, and experienced in the use of ASME, API, and ISO codes and standards
  • Knowledge of Piping codes ASME B-31.3, 31.4 & 31.8
  • Knowledge of Nozzle Pro software for nozzle load qualification and for nozzle stiffness values
  • Knowledge of Nozzle Pro SIF stiffness values to calculate SIF for lateral TEE
  • Prior experience within Brownfield projects within the Oil & Gas industry is essential
  • Knowledge of transportation analysis
  • Hands on experience on GRE piping stress analysis
  • Familiar with Energy Institute Guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with the client
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize
