Overview

We are seeking an Acquisition Geophysicist to join Geophysical Imaging Department. The Geophysical Imaging Department is an organisation that supports Saudi Aramco exploration and development programs through providing timely quality geophysical solutions focusing on subsurface images and quality of reservoirs and prospects. The Geophysical Data Acquisition Division is responsible for acquiring high quality geophysical data safely across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia utilizing state of the art acquisition technologies, designing optimized acquisition parameters as well as with minimum impact on environment in order to meet the objectives of Exploration and Development programs of Saudi Aramco.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Perform seismic data evaluation and design for high channel counts, wide azimuth and broad band seismic survey.

Complete geodetic survey calculations, and provide related GNSS expertise.

Perform Quality Control of acquired seismic data sets.

Perform technical as well as safety audit of seismic crews.

Perform evaluation of geophysical contracts.

Perform evaluation of new technologies and equipment's.

Supervise and manage seismic crews.

Supervise, lead and train junior acquisition geophysicist in surveying and acquisition activities.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, a master degree is preferred.

You should also have a minimum of 10 years in geophysical data acquisition domain, including at least five years of experience in onshore/offshore seismic data acquisition.

Experience in Survey Evaluation Design for 3D high channel counts and a strong understanding of key elements of seismic recording equipment's, sensors and sources (seismic vibrators /airguns)
