Cost Manager
Description
We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager with a pre-contract bias to support our exciting growth plans working with our key clients. The Cost Manager will support the successful delivery of our clients' capital projects and programmes of work.The Cost Manager will join an established team of like-minded experts passionate about innovation and growth. The role involves providing a comprehensive, accurate, and value-driven service for large, high-profile key clients.The role covers all aspects of cost management throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial inception/business case to completion. It also offers opportunities to support business growth and team development.Duties include (but are not limited to): Deliver all aspects of cost management from the early stages of a project.Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication and effective use of performance management processes and EGIS Group technical practice networks.Implement strategies to manage and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare detailed cost forecasts and budget reports, analyze variances, and identify trends to support financial decision-making.Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to estimate project costs, including external sub-consultancy services and overheads.Implement cost control measures and monitor project expenditures, addressing issues that could lead to budget overruns.Review and approve invoices and claims from external and internal suppliers, ensuring charges are accurate and justified.Experience in undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated multi-organization collaborative teams is preferred.Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and familiarity with project management processes.Conduct post-project financial audits to assess cost management performance and identify lessons learned for future projects.Qualifications: Education: A degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field is often required.Experience: At least 8 years of experience in cost and commercial management in the real estate sector, preferably with leading international consultancy firms. Experience in the Middle East is an advantage.Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency in financial management and market analysis.Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage and lead teams effectively.Remote Work: No Employment Type: Full-time #J-18808-Ljbffr
