Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.The Application Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security of the company's networks, data and applications. This role ensures that applications and services of an organization are secured and implemented with best security practices and provides expertise to inform and validate the secure design, development & implementation of IT applications including changes to existing applications (Custom and Commercial).Key Responsibilities: Strategy and Performance: Follow all relevant security and data governance policies, processes, and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Understand and demonstrate the 3 Phase Action Plan related to security.Support design and development of security solutions.Manage the development, refresh, and implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.Recognize, Implement and manage security components within our cloud & on-premises platform around automation, access controls, network, automated compliance, alerting and forensics including assessing and securing internet facing APIs.Define and support secure continuous delivery approaches including tooling and automated testing.Perform security operations tasks.Coordinate remediation of pen testing findings or incident management and deliver transformation projects from the early planning phase through the successful deployment including CASB solutions.Assess the current state of infrastructure, develop strategies and roadmap for improvement and advise in further securing the environments and interaction with their on-premises infrastructure.Identify & patch inherent vulnerabilities and information security risks within systems and applications.Ensure that application security is an embedded and critical part of the software delivery lifecycle inclusive of off-the-shelf application implementations and regardless of delivery methodologies or tools used.Ability to keep up to date on the latest security regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities Support a variety of application tools and Windows/Linux systems Review, approve & apply patches & perform upgrades to applications, application servers & end-user devices Ability to review application logs and determine root cause analysis for all errors Monitoring health of systems and make adjustments as needed using a centralized Log & event Management tool (SOAR/SIEM)Role Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or any relevant field.Knowledge in Comp TIA Plus Security, CSSLP & GWEB, Windows Servers, Linux, CEH, OSCP, GCIAMinimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security and Cyber Attacks.Foundation experience and reasonable understanding of network stack, network protocols Understanding of network security (incl.
