Electrical Engineer Position Locations Al Udeid AB, Al Udeid Air Base, Tracking Code10856 Position Type Full-Time/Regular Position is contingent upon contract funding.Must be a U.S. Citizen OCONUSQatar As the Electrical Engineer , you will have knowledge of principles of engineering, planning, project programming, and the ability to interpret plans and drawings. You should be experienced in management and supervision of an engineering staff. It is required that the Electrical Engineer shall be a registered professional engineer.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work involves coordination, research, and problem-solving on a variety of engineering projects with unique or controversial problems, the solution of which has an important effect on major organization programs. Hire, train, manage, and review performance of engineering staff and plan resources to meet department goals. Define engineering timelines according to project objectives and execute accordingly. Challenge designs, methods, and procedures to improve labor efficiencies and product construction and quality. Set priorities for the team and drive projects to completion using good judgment and facilitate innovative thinking and problem-solving through root cause analysis. Drive continuous improvement within the team and organization and determine all resource requirements necessary to provide excellent customer service and drive projects to completion. Lead multi-discipline engineering teams on selected projects, serving as the client’s main point of contact for the engineering team. Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all work performed by the Project Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural engineers’ staff. Determine the labor, resource, and financial needs of the engineering department and assist the Site Manager with budgeting for the project and oversee expenditures of all the engineering departments.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred Electrical. 7 years’ experience supporting base Engineering operations. Knowledge of principles of engineering, planning, project programming, and ability to interpret plans and drawings. Experience in management and supervision of an engineering staff. Proficient in CAD or Solid Works software or Auto CAD Inventor preferred.LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: Professional Engineer (PE)KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Position requires good leadership and motivational skills, solid technical background, good organizational skills, attention to detail, quality control, client interaction and representation. Strong project management and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
