AI Engineer (Agents, RAG & Agentic) Series A

Building In Public. People Before Profit Our client is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-native Saa S products. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of product development — ideal for someone passionate about creating intelligent, scalable, and user‑centric AI applications that make a real impact. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams across engineering, design, and product to define how modern AI systems are embedded directly into digital experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects — from agentic automation tools to intelligent copilots — within a fast‑growing, mission‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy AI systems and agents that enhance user experiences across multiple Saa S products. Develop and maintain LLM‑based tools and internal chatbot applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Partner with product and design teams to identify key user challenges that can be solved through applied AI. Contribute to all stages of the AI lifecycle, including data preparation, model fine‑tuning, agent orchestration, prompt design, and evaluation. Integrate external APIs, foundation models (Open AI, Anthropic, open‑source), and enterprise systems to develop contextual and adaptive AI features. Prototype and launch agentic workflows. Define and maintain standards around reliability, latency, and interpretability for production‑grade AI systems. Support and improve model infrastructure for monitoring, retraining, and continuous optimisation. Technical Expertise Advanced programming skills in Python with hands‑on experience using frameworks such as Py Torch, Tensor Flow, Lang Chain, and Llama Index. Deep familiarity with LLM ecosystems, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and autonomous agent frameworks. Experience deploying AI systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and working with Docker or Kubernetes for scalability. Proven success in developing and shipping AI/ML‑powered features in live production environments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Experience in AI, NLP, or machine learning engineering, with a focus on LLMs and conversational AI. Strong analytical and programming background, particularly in Python‑based machine learning workflows. Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level. Employment Type: Full‑time.
