CAD Operator
Description
The CAD Operator is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining detailed technical drawings and plans usingcomputer-aided design (CAD) software. The role supports engineers, architects, and other professionals in thedevelopment of designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications and standards Drawing and Drafting• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on design specifications.• Update and revise existing CAD drawings to reflect changes or corrections.• Interpret sketches, specifications, and design concepts into accurate CAD models and layouts.• Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements.• Coordinate with team members to ensure designs align with project goals and technical standards.Quality Assurance• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry and company standards.• Conduct self-checks and incorporate feedback to ensure high-quality outputs.Documentation• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and related project files.• Prepare bill of materials (BOMs) and other documentation associated with technical drawings.Software and Tools• Operate CAD software such as Auto CAD, Solid Works, Revit, or similar tools.• Stay updated with new software features and enhancements to improve efficiency.Desired Candidate Profile Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Education: Diploma or associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.Certification in CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD Certified Professional) is an advantage.Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a CAD Operator or in a similar drafting/design role.Experience in specialized industries (e.g., civil, mechanical, or electrical) is preferred.Person Specifications: • Proficiency in CAD software such as Auto CAD, Solid Works, or Revit.• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.• Basic understanding of engineering and architectural principles.• Good organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
