Electrical & Instrument Engineer

The position is responsible for managing site supervision of all instrument and electrical project works for both online and shutdown projects. The candidate shall oversee the erection and installation of Instrument & Electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with approved construction drawings, verifying progress according to schedules, and implementing corrective actions as needed.These projects may range from minor field or system-related tasks to major multidisciplinary projects.Key Accountabilities: Responsible for the progress of all field/construction activities.Assist in coordinating with contractors and subcontractors within the Instrument & Electrical scope during construction to ensure quality, safety, and environmental standards.Participate in safety walks and quality surveillance, prepare reports, and follow up on action closures.Manage progress of all construction activities within the Instrument & Electrical discipline.Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with contractors/sub-contractors, ensuring safety and proper planning, including participation in pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR).Prepare field progress reports, identify and rectify contractual non-conformities.Report on KPIs related to construction activities.Ensure all activities comply with HSE requirements of QAFCO and relevant authorities.Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrument, Electronic, or Control Engineering.Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industries.Proven project experience in managing instrumentation, process control, safety shutdown systems, rotating machinery controls, and electrical systems including switchboards, transformers, circuit breakers, UPS, PLCs, control panels, relays, electrical systems of elevators, cranes, motors, cables, earthing, fire and gas alarm systems, CCTV, data and communication systems, lighting, power distribution, HVAC electrical systems, and their interfaces.Experience in technical review of documents/drawings, safety and quality standards, and site execution procedures.Knowledge of network architecture, communication protocols (TCP/IP, Modbus, Ethernet), hazardous area standards (NEC/IEC/ATEX), and international standards (IEC/ANSI/ISA/EEMUA).High safety awareness and ability to operate standard PC applications, including MS Office, MS Projects, or Primavera.Strong technical report writing skills and ability to interpret technical documentation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
