Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Sign in to access AI-powered advices Continue with Google JOB CONTENT: Responsible for sourcing and procuring a wide range of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and services in line with budget and company policy by negotiating costs, credit terms, and ensuring timely delivery—while driving cost-effective solutions and identifying opportunities for savings across key spend areas.RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify and categorize stakeholder procurement needs, compile material specifications, and purchase goods and services in line with defined cost, quality, and delivery requirements.Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate terms, recommend suppliers, and issue purchase orders; ensure timely delivery through ERP follow-ups.Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms, including long-term discounts.Obtain necessary approvals and raise purchase orders with the most cost-effective suppliers, ensuring delivery as per terms.Manage supplier relationships, ensure contract compliance, monitor market for better products and pricing, and resolve issues related to price, quality, delivery, or invoices.Liaise between suppliers and internal departments to support procurement activities and new projects.Coordinate with user departments to review needs, resolve issues, gather feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies and guidelines.Maintain accurate documentation related to solicitations, purchases, contracts, and correspondence.Maintain procurement records and pricing data within the ERP system.Organize sale and disposal of scrap, obsolete, or salvage items as per policy.Monitor and expedite outstanding contracts, orders, and payments, ensuring prompt resolution.Prepare reports on supplier performance, conduct market surveys, and monitor for better products/pricing.Assist in implementing procurement systems, ensure compliance with safety, quality, food safety, and environmental standards, and keep records updated.Develop procurement knowledge base, monitor industry trends, and support continuous improvement.Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.Requirements Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing equipment and raw materials for engineering and packaging industries.Skills & Knowledge: Contract negotiation and vendor management.Ability to analyze quotations, cost comparisons, and vendor capabilities.Strong communication skills for internal and external coordination.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Familiarity with ERP procurement modules like SAP, Oracle, etc.Knowledge of quality standards and ISO documentation.Senior level Executive Employment type Full-time Job function Manufacturing Industries Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing This job posting appears to be active; no expiration indicators are present. #J-18808-Ljbffr
