We will synergize with a great commitment to excellence and the well-being of our student-athletes, especially in sports performance, and be able to create and deliver high-performance support services and environments to prepare athletes and coaches for international competition.You areable to lead and deliver a world-class fencing program, ensuring the strategic planning, development, and implementation of training and competition pathways for Aspire student-athletes. This role involves working closely with coaches, athletes, sports science, medicine, and education teams to provide integrated and individualized performance support. You will oversee athlete development, drive innovation in coaching methodologies, and ensure that all activities align with high-performance standards and long-term athlete development models.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for Aspire’s Fencing Program. Lead, manage, and mentor fencing staff, ensuring continuous professional growth and program consistency. Design and oversee integrated training and competition schedules tailored to elite athlete development. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including sports science, education, and Aspetar, to provide holistic athlete support. Liaise effectively with national and international federations, including the Qatar Fencing Federation. Drive innovation through performance analysis, youth scouting, and international partnerships. Oversee operational aspects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and quality assurance. Key Qualifications and Requirements: Elite Coaching Experience: Proven record coaching at the international level (Olympics, World/Continental Championships), with podium achievements preferred. 9–11 years of relevant experience, including 3–6 years in a senior coaching leadership role. Global Recognition: Widely recognized within the fencing community. Ideally ranked among the world’s top 5 fencing coaches or with equivalent standing. High-Performance Background: Experience in structured elite programs—national teams or top-tier academies. Technical Mastery: Deep tactical and technical understanding across all weapons (with a specialization in one). Professional Credentials: Internationally recognized certifications (e.g., FIE or national federations); advanced education in sports science or performance analytics is a plus. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred). Leadership & Team Collaboration: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, nurture coaching staff, and promote excellence throughout the department. Passion for Youth Development: Commitment to identifying and developing young fencing talent. Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
