Workshop Maintenance Planner
Description
Purpose : This position is responsible for planning and coordinating workshop maintenance activities for the company's bus fleet, ensuring efficient use of resources, minimal downtime & compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Job Summary : The incumbent's goal is to plan and coordinate workshop maintenance activities, ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime.Main Responsibilities & Tasks Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans & schedules for the fleet, ensuring optimal vehicle uptime and minimal downtime.Lead the planning and scheduling of all workshop maintenance & repair activities, balancing fleet performance with operational requirements.Ensure all maintenance tasks are prioritized effectively and completed within agreed timelines.Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as vehicle downtime, repair costs & maintenance backlog.Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency & reduce costs.Prepare and maintain detailed reports on maintenance performance, budgets, & KPIs for senior management review.Manage and supervise the workshop planning team, ensuring effective workload distribution & high-performance standards.Monitor and manage the utilization of resources, including labor, materials & equipment to ensure efficient workshop operations.Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities and equipment history.Ensure compliance with Client's safety, quality, and regulatory standards, overseeing the proper documentation & reporting on maintenance activities.Collaborate with fleet management to understand operational needs and adjust plans to ensure fleet reliability.Identify and resolve any issues in the planning & execution of maintenance activities.Stakeholder Management and Leadership.Provide leadership and support to the workshop planning team, ensuring effective communication & task completion.Establish and maintain relationships with external contractors & vendors for specialized services and support.Build and maintain good customer & supplier relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and cooperation.Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills Qualifications At least Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, logistics, operations management).Work Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in planning or logistics role, preferably in a maintenance or transportation environment.Certificates & Trainings Any relevant certification or training such as : Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).Lean Six Sigma Certification.Maintenance and Repair Management Certification.Skills Planning and coordination, Data analysis and reporting, Process improvement and implementation.
