Because whenever you join, however long you stay, the exceptional EY experience lasts a lifetime.The opportunity Join IFRS Professional Practice within Assurance to provide technical consultation to our offices within MENA, addressing accounting and financial reporting challenges faced by our engagement teams during audit and advisory engagements.Your key responsibilities As an IFRS Professional Practice Assistant Manager/Manager, you will work closely with all EY offices in the MENA region, including professional practice colleagues and engagement teams. You will assist senior managers and partners in researching and resolving IFRS technical consultations and queries. You will also develop thought leadership for external audiences and internal guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.You will provide IFRS technical support to EY offices in MENA, helping reach conclusions on complex IFRS issues and preparing internal guidance based on consultations. Additionally, you will update research and learning materials, participate in thought leadership on emerging accounting issues, liaise with EY Global and EMEIA IFRS practices, deliver training, and contribute to comment letters on proposed standards for IASB input. Support on treasury and financial advisory engagements will also be part of your role.Skills and attributes for success Proactivity, accountability, and results-driven attitude are essential.
