SR. LIFTING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER
Description
Overview Ensures that lifting equipment (LE) plans, method statements, and LE certificates are reviewed and approved in compliance with statutory requirements, Qatar Energy's L.E. Standard, and relevant international standards. Responsible for establishing appropriate risk control measures. Ensures that all lifting equipment is supplied, inspected, tested, and certified in accordance with Qatar Energy Corporate Standards and Procedures. Experience Minimum of 12 years' experience in Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment functions, with exposure to construction safety for offshore oil & gas projects. At least 3 years in a senior position within a well-reputed Oil & Gas Operator, Worldwide Third-party Consultant, or EPIC contractors. Additional professional qualifications relevant to quality (e.g., ISO/IRCA/ASME/API/NACE/ASNT/TWI/AWS) are desirable. Certified by LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) Foundation Scheme and at least one advanced program focusing on inspection and thorough examination of lifting machines, accessories, cranes, offshore containers, with at least 3 years of implementation post-certification. Familiarity with QHSE and Environmental regulatory regimes, international safety & quality engineering codes and standards. Experience in Accident/Incident investigation, NCRs/CARs review, learning from HSE incidents and non-conformities, and ensuring implementation and close-out of preventive and corrective actions. High proficiency in English (both written and spoken), capable of preparing and presenting periodic reports on HS, Environment, and Quality. Work experience in the Arabian Gulf Countries is desirable. Qualifications BSc/BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering. Preference for Lead Auditor IMS (Integrated Management Systems) certification.#J-18808-Ljbffr
