DFMEAs.Manage a portfolio of models, keeping accurate records and communicating to the rest of the team.Perform concept designs, calculations and layouts of new designs.Perform modelling and simulation.Prepare conceptual layouts of design concepts with input from the Chief Designer or senior engineer.Prepare detailed layouts and manufacturing drawings of components and assemblies.Prepare solid models of components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.Provide engineering assistance during the building and testing of prototypes (closed-loop feedback)Reference physical testing to validate models.Support the open flow of information during prototyping and manufacturing.Troubleshoot and debug models.Understand relevant certification documents and performance tests to develop analytical models.Duties: The Simulation engineer is responsible for the mechanical design, development, production and field support of armoured vehicles and related systems. A simulation engineer works on complex engineering projects to create simulations for testing the performance of proposed solutions. This individual will also work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning as well as plan and design product applications.
