Direct Reports to: Director of Archaeological Sites and Research Department Job Purpose Providing expertise and technical advice for all works related to the Archaeological Sites and Research Department, including archaeological survey, excavation, exploration, restoration, archaeological preservation, and studies related to antiquities for all those concerned in the Archaeological Sites and Research Department, in addition to preparing regulations, policies, and work manuals related to antiquities.Functional Responsibilities Providing expertise and technical advice for all works related to the Archaeological Sites and Research Department, including archaeological survey, excavation, exploration, and studies related to antiquities for all those concerned in the Department of Antiquities.Preparing regulations, policies and work guides for antiquities and developing archaeological sites with the aim of protecting them and preserving their value.Participate in setting management principles and controls, directing operations, and improving productivity.Strengthening relationships with internal and external partners to ensure services are provided according to the highest standards.Develop programs that enhance learning, development, training and motivation of work teams to ensure the provision of the highest quality services.Participate in preparing studies, research, books, reports, bulletins and periodicals on various archaeological sites.The results of excavation projects and archaeological surveys, in coordination with the relevant organizational units.Participate in preparing studies and research for various archaeological sites according to the department’s plan, and contribute to planning, promoting and managing archaeological sites.Supervising the classification and registration of artifacts discovered through excavation and prospecting at various archaeological sites and documenting them according to the best documentation methods and techniques applied globally.Participation in local and regional workshops, seminars and conferences related to archaeological projects.Carrying out all assigned tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the Authority’s approved information security and confidentiality policy and within the limits of the powers granted.Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the job as assigned.Operational Responsibilities Provide support in analyzing data periodically and upon request and presenting it to the leadership to support them in decision making.Report any operational risks or obstacles to achieving its goals and objectives.Ensure alignment with relevant financial policies and procedures in place in the function.Desired Candidate Profile5 to 7+ years of relevant working experience.Experience in developing and implementing operational plans.Knowledge of financial and operational matters.Plan effectively and proactively for future needs.Ability to successfully negotiate and develop partnerships at the local and international levels.Innovative problem solver, able to find workable solutions and resolve complaints Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, History or equivalent Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
