Quality Control Engineer - Cables (Factory)
Description
Job Responsibilities: Preparation of work procedures for routine and sample testing. Testing incoming raw materials to ensure quality assurance. Performing various tests, including dielectric test, voltage withstand testing on finished cables, insulation resistance test, hot set test, ageing test, and cold temperature test. Conducting thorough inspections of cables at different production stages to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Utilizing advanced testing equipment such as insulation resistance testers and continuity testers to evaluate cable performance and safety. Analyzing test results and compiling detailed reports, identifying trends and areas for process improvement. Collaborating with production teams to implement corrective actions for deviations from quality standards, fostering continuous improvement. Developing and maintaining quality control documentation, including inspection logs, test reports, and non-conformance reports. Performing root cause analysis for quality issues and applying problem-solving methodologies to prevent recurrence. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations such as IEC and BS relevant to low-voltage cables and systems. Participating in audits and assessments, both internal and external, to verify adherence to quality management systems. Staying updated on the latest developments in cable technology and quality control practices to improve quality assurance processes. Willingness to work in shifts, including early or late hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
