Senior Procurement Officer – Mechanical

Job Title: Senior Procurement Officer – Mechanical & Electrical Specialist Location: Lusail, Qatar Duration: 3 months (extendable based on performance and project needs)Salary: QAR 8,500 (full package including all allowances)Working Hours: 9.5 hours per day (including 1-hour break)Days Off: Friday & Saturday Availability: Immediate joining Position Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Officers with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and Vehicle parts and materials procurement. The successful candidates will manage the full procurement lifecycle—from technical evaluation and vendor management to tendering and compliance—ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of quality materials.Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and vehicle parts.Prepare and review technical specifications, RFQs, and tender documents in collaboration with engineering teams.Evaluate suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to project requirements.Lead negotiations, finalize contracts, and ensure compliance with Qatar's procurement regulations.Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for audit and management purposes.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support ongoing and future projects.Candidate Requirements: Minimum 3 years of relevant procurement experience in Qatar.Proven ability to manage multiple vendor portfolios and conduct effective negotiations.Strong understanding of MEP materials, equipment, and vehicle components.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Familiarity with Qatar's supplier landscape and compliance framework.Must be able to join immediately.Please note that applicants should answer the pre-screening questions to be considered for this position THOSE WHO CAN JOIN IMMEDIATELY SHOULD APPLY.
