Assistant Director of Finance

Location: United Arab Emirates Location: Dubai Industry: Accounting / Finance Function: Accounting / Finance Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Candidate Preferred Location: Any Job Type: Full-time Core Duties * Supervise and guide accounting staff and payroll functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy* Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, schedules, and annual budgets* Ensure timely posting and accuracy of charges and credits across accounts* Reconcile balance sheet items with subsidiary ledgers and clear contra accounts monthly* Review and monitor accounting processes to ensure compliance with standards and hotel policies* Establish internal controls for accurate and timely reporting* Research and adapt accounting practices in line with new laws or government regulations* Approve journal vouchers from accounts payable, receivable, payroll, cashier, and cost control teams* Produce financial analysis and reports to support management decision-making* Coordinate cross-departmental financial processes to maximize productivity and efficiency* Represent the Finance Department in dealings with employees, auditors, and external stakeholders* Promote cost-effective resource use and educate staff on financial efficiency* Lead, motivate, and develop accounting teams to achieve departmental objectives Candidate Profile * Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field* Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ICW (intermediate level or above) preferred* Minimum 6 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role* Strong business acumen and ability to align financial processes with organizational goals* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and financial systems* Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)* Proven track record of supervising teams and delivering accurate, timely financial data* High degree of professionalism, integrity, and organizational ability
