Job Title: ACCA Lecturer Reporting to: ACCA Programme Leader Salary: Dependant on Experience Hours: 48 hours a week, (Full Time)Campuses: Dubai International Academic City UK College of Business and Computing (UKCBC) is higher education provider with significant identity, firmly assured QAA standards, professional accreditations and a well-reputed identity in the sector. The college currently operating through five campuses across London and has recently opened a new campus in Dubai's Academic City.The College primarily offers Pearson's BTEC HNDs in Business Management and IT courses and ACCA. We are looking to expand our team of expert tutors within the ACCA faculty.Main purpose of the job: To carry out ACCA teaching and administrative duties within the Department. UK College of Business and Computing lecturers are employed by the establishment to undertake teaching and administrative duties within a specialist subject area.Main duties and responsibilities: To teach all ACCA levels in areas allocated and reviewed by the Programme Leader.Key focus on papers FA, PM, TX, APM, AAA and OBU mentoring To engage with the College's broader scholarly and professional communities.To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of UKCBC high quality curriculum.To assist in the development of ACCA learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor students' progress, achievement and attendance.To participate in departmental meetings aimed at sharing best practice and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.To participate in the development, administration and marking of ACCA exams and other assessments.To provide pastoral care and support to UKCBC learners.To participate in the administration of the department's programmes of study and other activities as requested.To contribute to departmental-wide working groups or meetings as requested.To maintain own continuing professional development.To actively follow and promote UKCBC policies, including Equality and Diversity.To maintain an awareness and observation of UKCBC fire and health and safety regulations.Developing and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in research.PERSON SPECIFICATIONEssential: A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programmes Past experience in teaching ACCA professional level papers and also paper TX-UKExcellent presentation and communication skills Strong pass rates Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively.Must hold a recognised accountancy qualification, for example; ACCA/ICAEW/ICAI or equivalent Commitment to academic activities; Commitment to high quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students; Commitment to continuous professional development; Commitment to public communication; Commitment to UKCBC's policy of equality & diversity; and the ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and students of all cultures and backgrounds.Desirable: * Previous experience in teaching in Accounting and Finance.
