Job description: Key Responsibilities: Customs Documentation: Prepare and process all necessary documentation required for customs clearance of shipments, including but not limited to, bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, and customs declarations.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations, Free Zone rules, and other international trade laws, such as tariffs, import/export restrictions, and trade agreements.Coordination: Liaise with customs authorities, shipping agents, freight forwarders, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of goods.JAFZA Processes: Have a deep understanding of JAFZA-specific regulations and procedures for handling customs within the Free Zone, including Free Zone-to-Free Zone transfers and imports/exports to and from JAFZA.Cargo Clearance: Coordinate cargo inspections and handling, ensure goods are cleared and released in a timely manner, and address any issues that may arise during customs inspections.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs transactions, including import/export documentation, customs clearance status, and related reports.Problem Solving: Address any discrepancies or delays in customs clearance, working closely with customs authorities to resolve issues and ensure compliance.Communication: Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their shipments and customs clearance processes, while ensuring customer satisfaction.Requirements: Education: A diploma or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in customs clearing or logistics within a Free Zone environment, preferably in JAFZA.Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE customs laws, JAFZA regulations, and international shipping documentation. Knowledge of Dubai Trade portal,Dubai Chamber,MOFA Attestation and customs clearance systems is essential.Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Languages: Proficiency in English is essential.
