JOB PURPOSE : Evaluate and develop opportunities in the form of investors to invest in Hydrogen Business, aiming for future partnerships and collaborations aligned with the strategy of the Downstream Marketing & Trading Directorate. Engage constructively with internal and external parties and stakeholders to ensure alignment throughout the engagement process with potential investors. Develop and foster formal and informal networks within the local and international hydrogen industry to understand and identify specific opportunities for ADNOC, proactively using this knowledge to add value to the company. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Business Development: Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of initiatives related to hydrogen and derivatives (including LH2, LOHC, SAF, Ammonia, e-fuels, etc.) to stimulate business growth and increase ADNOC revenue. Map and monitor market needs and trends to identify new opportunities and potential lead investors for hydrogen business. Manage and establish the investor portfolio by regularly reviewing the opportunity pipeline. Qualify investor leads, focusing on attractiveness and strategic fit; make initial contact and identify key stakeholders. Gather necessary data about investors, identify critical success factors, and build relationships using publicly available information and stakeholder engagement. Offer solutions aligned with company strategy, making conservative assumptions for value assessments when specific information is unavailable. Prepare for negotiations and contracts based on factual data, including potential scenarios and negotiation strategies. Monitor performance and compliance against contractual agreements and facilitate handovers and onboarding. Support negotiations for joint studies and similar agreements. Assist in executing commercial elements of pilots and demonstration projects. Support governance and asset management of ADNOC's clean hydrogen joint ventures. Develop techno-economic feasibility studies for shortlisted opportunities to maximize economic value from downstream operations. Conduct due diligence and market analysis to identify value-adding deals for ADNOC. Evaluate new technologies from techno-commercial and market perspectives. Supervision: Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities within the assigned area to meet objectives. Train and develop staff to enhance proficiency and achieve section goals. Budgets: Contribute to budget preparation and assist in implementing approved budgets and work plans. Identify variances to support performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures: Implement division policies, processes, and standards to support operational execution in line with company and international standards. Performance Management: Contribute to achieving division performance objectives within the company framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Design and implement tools and techniques to improve operational quality and efficiency. Identify process improvements aligned with best practices and ISO standards. HSE and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, legislation, and sustainability guidelines. Reports: Provide inputs for section MIS and progress reports for management. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Maintain contact with immediate manager, peers, team, and senior management regarding division operations, strategy, policies, and other tasks. Engage with all division staff and other directorates as required. External: Communicate regularly with shareholders, customers, suppliers, joint venture partners, industry participants, government entities, and technical collaborators. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred. Minimum Experience & Skills: At least 10 years’ experience in refining, chemical, or clean energy industries. Experience with multiple products and chemistries in downstream and chemical industries is advantageous. Knowledge of alternative energy technologies and clean power is advantageous. Experience working in multicultural, international environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience collaborating with engineering, technology, and consultancy firms, and analyzing data for decision-making. #J-18808-Ljbffr
