We are seeking a motivated and result-driven talent to join our Scent division as Scent Design Manager for the Fine Fragrance category. As a Scent Design Manager, you will be skilled at executing customer strategy, demonstrating proficiency in IFF capabilities. You will collaborate with global teams to create new features while addressing customer needs. The candidate will report directly to the Scent Design Group Director and will be based at the Scent Creative Center in Dubai, UAE. Key responsibilities Manage Go-To-Market Projects and implement innovative fragrance development strategies. Connect market, customer, and consumer needs to identify, develop, and recommend competitive product solutions to drive business results. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (perfumers, technical, CI/marketing) to uncover challenges and develop new fragrance solutions and capabilities. Develop creative strategies based on Holistic Scent Design principles. Define what to learn from consumers to gain a competitive advantage and build consumer-relevant solutions. Manage the execution of the olfactive strategy by providing creative direction and olfactive guidance to perfumers. Listen to the voice of the customer and deliver above expectations. Create effective client need analyses. Establish and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, earning their trust and respect. Share knowledge on market developments and competitive insights with the organization. Required Skills Excellent olfactive communication skills supporting the creative process—discrimination, description, and odor memory. Ability to identify potential fragrance or technology solutions relevant to the market. Understanding of market/consumer trends and behaviors. Knowledge of fragrance ingredients and technologies for effective communication with technical teams and perfumers. Basic technical understanding of Fine Fragrance formulations and stability risks. Strong project management skills, disciplined and process-oriented. Open-mindedness, agility, and courage. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Commercial mindset with a focus on results. Team player capable of motivating others. Excellent influencing skills at all organizational levels. Fluent in English. Required Experience Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Perfumery, Science, Chemistry, Consumer Science, or related fields. Minimum 5 years of experience in fragrance evaluation. Olfactive assessment is part of the selection process.
