Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ITS Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to handle all ITS works including integration and SCADA of a project that includes open cut Tunnel, roads, and bridges. What You’ll Be Doing Develop project schedules for the project activities. Work with the project staff to execute the project on schedule and within budget. Manage clients and in-house staff to bring projects in at cost. Act as the primary liaison between client and project staff, establishing and implementing procedures to provide the agreed-upon services to the client. Prepare and oversee the preparation of technical documents, including manhour estimates. Define the project, including scope of work, deliverables, schedules, and specific client requirements, if any. Provide direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional assistance as the situation warrants to ensure project completion per schedule and budget. Promote technical excellence on the project, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process. Ensure that adequate checking is performed in accordance with policy and procedure. Ensure that work is coordinated between the Home Office staff and Site staff by maintaining clear and frequent communications. Advise upper management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could affect project completion and/or profitability. Initiate and/or review change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of work. What Required Skills You’ll Bring The ITS Specialist should have completed a wide variety of ITS/SCADA engineering assignments, ITS/SCADA System Integration, coordination, and supervision, applying engineering techniques and analyses. The ITS Specialist at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer-aided engineering)/CAD (computer-aided design) and BIM applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations is expected. Bachelor's Degree in engineering from a reputable institution. Minimum 10 years of experience with relevant experience in ITS and traffic operation projects including tunnels and integration is a must. A thorough knowledge of ITS Operations and Traffic Management principles and systems. Previous experience in dealing with ITC (Integrated Transport System) is a must. Substantial experience managing one or more large traffic operations contracts within a traffic control center. Substantial experience in at least one of the following contract-related areas: systems engineering, systems integration, big data analysis, traffic software development, or traffic/transportation engineering. Experience in long-range strategic program planning activities. Demonstrated success in keeping programs on schedule and within budget while meeting the performance goals of contracts managed, and effectively managing multiple team members. Demonstrated leadership and management experience, especially with staff in different geographic locations. Knowledge of local and regional traffic operations is desirable.
