Posted on 04/04/2025 LIGHTING ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (UAENational) Company: KN International Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Head Office) Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: KN International is seeking a Lighting Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have experience in lighting design for infrastructure, commercial, and residential projects , with proficiency in lighting simulation software and rendering tools . This role requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and collaboration skills to deliver innovative and sustainable lighting solutions . Key Responsibilities: Develop lighting concepts, calculations, and layouts using software such as Dialux, Auto CAD, and Revit . Create high-quality renderings and visualizations to support design proposals. Ensure compliance with local and international lighting standards (e.g., IES, CIBSE, EN12464). Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and performance evaluations for lighting systems. Work closely with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and developers to deliver integrated lighting solutions. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source the latest lighting products. Ensure that designs meet energy efficiency, sustainability, and regulatory requirements . Prepare technical documentation, reports, and client presentations . Assist in tender processes, technical workshops, and project coordination meetings . Support the testing, commissioning, and mock-up evaluation of lighting installations. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent). Proficiency in Dialux, Auto CAD, Revit, Photoshop, and In Design . Knowledge of daylight analysis and energy-efficient lighting solutions is a plus.
