Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under it’s umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere and Public. We currently have a number of exciting Sous Chef positions across the UAE supporting existing teams as well as building new teams as part of pre-opening. Supporting the Head Chef in running the BOH effectively, our Sous Chefs play a vital role in ensuring the food we produce for our guests is of the highest standards. Some key responsibilities: • Ensure the kitchen is managed efficiently and professionally, and that the teams are fully prepared and ready for each service • Provide support and training to all members of the BOH team with a strong emphasis in supporting career development • Effectively manage stock, storage, equipment as per SOPs - working with relevant stakeholders to overcome any issues To be considered for this role, you will come from a high-cover environment with experience working with either Arabic, French or Italian cuisine.
