Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are: Ensure all outlet reports, schedules, standard recipes, menus, food presentation photographs, and correspondence are completed accurately and punctually in liaison with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chefs.Develop menus and specials that meet the needs of the target market and align with the restaurant's operating concept.Create menus and set standard recipes (as per SOPs) to maintain acceptable food costs while satisfying guest expectations.Understand and adhere to company policies related to fire, hygiene, and safety.Maintain operating and kitchen equipment to a good standard with minimal breakage.Responsible for audit requirements for HACCP and Dubai Municipality as needed.Check incoming produce to ensure compliance with order sheets, receiving records, and purchasing specifications.Maximize colleague productivity and morale, maintaining discipline according to hotel guidelines and local legislation.Assist in building an efficient team by focusing on welfare, safety, training, and development.Develop strong working relationships with management of other departments within areas of responsibility.Identify market needs and trends in food for both hotel guests and the local market; monitor and analyze menus and products of competitive restaurants.Plan and implement effective food promotions in coordination with the Chef's office.Adhere to Anantara's food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality; recommend improvements and additions.Maintain food safety and protection, ensuring compliance with food handling techniques, dating, proper storage, and rotation.Take responsibility for asset management of all outlet property and facilities.Participate in departmental training to improve skills and service levels, providing training and resources to colleagues.Promote positive inter-departmental relations through effective communication and cooperation.Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules.Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a 4/5-star hotel environment as a Junior Sous Chef.Ability to lead and develop a team continually.Works well in a team environment and collaborates effectively.Customer-centric attitude.Positive, proactive 'Can Do' mentality.Basic computer skills and knowledge.Well-groomed with good personal hygiene practices.Strong understanding of culinary hygiene practices and HACCP standards.Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Hospitality Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Anantara Hotels & Resorts by 2x.Get notified about new Junior Sous Chef jobs in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 23 hours ago #J-18808-Ljbffr
