Banking & Finance Associate

A prominent international law firm maintains a significant presence in the Middle East, with a substantial team of lawyers and professionals located across multiple offices in numerous countries. They provide a comprehensive suite of legal services, demonstrating particular strength in areas such as banking and finance, construction, and corporate law. The firm is recognized for its in-depth understanding of local markets and its capacity to manage intricate, cross-border transactions. They possess a long-standing history in the region, having cultivated strong relationships with governments and businesses. Advise on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, including general banking, capital markets, project finance, Islamic finance, leveraged finance, real estate finance, and global syndicated lending. Collaborate with leading international banks, financial institutions, corporate borrowers and issuers, regulators, and market participants. Manage transactions effectively, including assisting in the supervision of trainees. Contribute to enhancing the firm's local and regional market presence. Maintain a commitment to technical excellence and client care. A successful candidate will have: Transactional Experience: Proven experience in LMA-based transactions. Regional Finance Expertise: Understanding of the regional finance landscape, with preferred experience in Islamic finance. Legal Qualification: English or Scots law qualification preferred. Regional Legal Knowledge: Understanding of Oman and other regional laws and practice (preferred, but not essential). Transaction Management Skills: Ability to effectively manage transactions and assist in trainee supervision. Market Awareness: Familiarity with regional laws and market practices. Teamwork & Drive: Strong team player with enthusiasm and a drive to enhance local and regional market presence. Client Focus: Commitment to technical excellence and client care. Regional Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to the Middle East region; regional experience or familiarity is highly desirable. Language Skills: Arabic language skills (bonus). #J-18808-Ljbffr
