ESH Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated professional with a passion for Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH), combined with a strong commitment to Sustainability. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing World-Area level ESH activities and new initiatives for the MEA Flow Controls business unit. The ideal candidate is ready to work in an innovative, high-growth business environment with complex engineered products manufacturing, implementing best-in-class processes and programs to protect our people and environment. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Life Cycle Services ESH, Global ESH, MEA corporate ESH Management, and local country ESH representatives.Responsibilities: Review, maintain, and develop policies and procedures to foster a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.Drive continuous improvement of ESH programs to mitigate risks, prevent injuries, and protect people, property, and the environment.Provide ESH expertise and ownership for implementing tools, standards, and proven methods.Harmonize and standardize MEA processes and initiatives, promoting collaboration within the HSE community and implementing proven techniques.Adopt global and regional strategies to align with MEA ESH priorities.Develop innovative programs that bring engineering solutions to hazards.Ensure ISO certification through timely audits and effective closure of corrective actions.Collaborate with leadership to embed ESH accountability and cultivate a positive safety culture.Ensure all new projects have acquired necessary authorizations and permits.Lead initiatives to reduce operating costs related to ESH through energy conservation, waste minimization, and injury prevention.Track, analyze, and communicate ESH performance using leading and lagging indicators; align improvement priorities accordingly.Serve as the system administrator for ESH tools such as Velocity and ENHESA, mentoring key users.Develop ESH plans, establish objectives, and monitor progress with relevant metrics.Conduct inspections and audits, ensuring timely communication of findings and corrective actions.Lead sustainability initiatives, drive emission reduction strategies, and foster green teams to achieve Net Zero targets.Implement GHG reduction programs.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Safety Science, Occupational Health, or related fields.10+ years of experience in ESH, preferably in the mechanical industries.Practical knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry trends.Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 (or previous 18001).Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.Professional certifications such as CSP or NEBOSH.Experience with ESH technology, devices, and training techniques.Our Culture & Commitment: At Emerson, we value a workplace where every employee is respected and empowered.
