Job Description The Accounts Receivable Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and excellent customer service. This role acts as a point of contact for escalated issues, supports team training, and ensures adherence to AR policies and procedures. Responsibilities : Oversee and coordinate daily accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely billing and collection of payments. Supervise and support AR staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to meet departmental goals. Review aging reports and assist in the resolution of delinquent accounts. Handle complex customer accounts and high-priority collections. Reconcile accounts, process adjustments, and manage disputes in coordination with sales and customer service teams. Generate and analyze AR reports; provide regular updates to management. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable laws/regulations. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing best practices. Train new team members and support the ongoing development of AR staff. The ideal candidate fits the below profile : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of AR processes, cash applications, collections, and reconciliations. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Quick Books) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead a team. Experience working with cross-regional teams.
