Laboratory Technician (Food Microbiology)
Description
Conducts microbiological analysis of collected food and environmental samples to identify contamination or non-compliance with regulatory limits.Key Responsibilities Receive and register food and water samples for microbiological testing.Perform testing procedures such as total plate count, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and other indicator / pathogen detection.Prepare culture media, maintain instruments, and perform calibrations.Record, validate, and report test results in accordance with SOPs and quality standards.Adhere to ISO / IEC 17025 quality system and laboratory biosafety protocols.Participate in proficiency testing and internal audits as required.Participate in client briefings and VVIP food safety risk evaluations.Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree or diploma in Microbiology, Biology, or related science.2-3 years of relevant lab experience in food or water testing.Strong understanding of HACCP and ISO / IEC 17025 requirements.Knowledge of DOH or ESMA microbiological test standards is an advantage.Laboratory Technician • Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates #J-18808-Ljbffr
