Direct message the job poster from Descon Engineering Limited We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager – Civil with strong expertise in building works within oil and gas plant environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing day-to-day construction activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards, while ensuring adherence to QHSE protocols.Key Responsibilities: Plan and monitor daily construction activities and lead site operations.Manage and execute construction works in accordance with the baseline schedule, project specifications, and QHSE standards.Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.Ensure timely availability of resources, materials, and engineering deliverables.Collaborate with key stakeholders including clients, consultants, project engineers, and subcontractors.Coordinate site access and logistics to facilitate efficient execution of works.Prepare construction workflows, recovery plans, and detailed schedules.Oversee manpower planning (direct and indirect), machinery, and material allocation to meet project needs.Supervise the preparation and approval of material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and design proposals.Conduct regular site inspections and provide technical guidance to ensure quality workmanship.Monitor contractor progress, conduct progress meetings, and ensure timely execution as per project milestones.Track and validate contractor invoices, verify BOQ quantities, and support in subcontractor agreement preparation.Ensure continuous improvement in site quality, safety, and productivity.Follow up on invoice submissions with the QS team and track daily manpower productivity.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.Minimum 15–18 years of experience in construction management, particularly in building works within oil & gas facilities.Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams.Strong knowledge of construction standards, project planning, and QHSE compliance.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Must be currently available in the UAE.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Industries Oil and Gas Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Descon Engineering Limited by 2x Construction Mechanical Supervisor Machinery We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
