Position: Import - Export Specialist Job Description The Import - Export Specialist is responsible for ensuring process efficiency in import/export operations. The role involves working with logistics service providers to ensure compliance with customs regulations and improving on-time delivery of goods to product lines. Responsibilities Analyze import and export documentation for shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Update import/export systems with relevant data and documents. Evaluate customs duty exemptions and free trade agreements to reduce costs. Manage performance related to service level agreements. Oversee daily customs broker operations, monitoring lead times and costs. Coordinate with customs and local authorities on operational issues. Ensure correct application of duty tariff codes on shipments. Maintain compliance with customs requirements, conduct self-audits, and manage documentation. Handle daily customs and trade compliance reports. Serve as a knowledge resource on customs regulations within the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Experience in logistics or import/export roles.
