Altera Infrastructure are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled Deck Foreman who will work in a split position as a Crane Operator to join our dynamic team. This role places you at the heart of a cutting-edge project, starting with the yard phase in the Dubai Drydocks and transitioning to offshore operation. On offer is the chance to join a rapidly growing team as part of our safe manning crew working on an equal time (4: 4) rotation before moving to a 2: 3 rotation for Offshore Operations at the end of project execution.As part of the crew, you will be integral to the success of our project, contributing to preservation and maintenance activities, as well as supporting various yard work scopes. This is your chance to make a significant impact on a major project, working with ultra-modern equipment and advancing your career in the energy sector.Our modern FPSO, the Petrojarl Knarr, will be deployed to the Rosebank oil and gas field to produce and store hydrocarbons. The Rosebank development has been optimised to reduce carbon emissions and the FPSO will be prepared for future electrification. The vessel is currently undergoing life extension work, modifications for field specifics and enhanced energy efficiency.We are looking for our next Deck Foreman / Crane Operator.Ensure that the day-to-day activities of the team are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company HSEQ policies.Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, and relevant management systems.Perform duties as assigned by Marine Supervisor.The Deck Foreman and Crane Operator is responsible for logistics support services on the Installation, including crane operation and maintenance, associated materials handling and helicopter operations.Act as LOLER Focal Point for the FPSODevelop lifting plans and risk assessments as required Responsible for the implementation of safe rigging practices Act as HLO for helicopter operations Mooring and unmooring of Shuttle Tankers Maintaining the availability of firefighting, emergency response and safety equipment in his sphere of influence (including helideck rescue equipment).Ensuring safe packaging, handling, storage and adequate documentation of Dangerous Goods.Assist with planning and execution of marine work scopes (Tank Confined Space Entry/Anchor Chains/Crane/etc)Responsible for sea fastening of equipment/stores – also asset wide sea fastening when required Perform housekeeping activities as necessary to maintain a safe and clean worksite.Act as Nominated Area Operator Assist other departments professionally and informatively.Proactively participate in Level 2 Risk Assessment and tool box talks Act as Isolation Authority and Verifier – Marine Systems.Assist the Deck Foreman with rigging and lifting operations.Carry out routine inspections, lubrication, planned maintenance and assisting in overhaul of vessel cranes.Operate cranes safely and within design limits for stage 1, 2 and 3 lifts to offload and backload supply vessels and other visiting vessels.You will be part of the Emergency Response Team and will be expected to carry out duties in accordance with the asset Emergency Response Plan.Qualifications: LOLER Appointed Person OPITO HERTLCrane Op Stage 3Compliance with training matrix for the position HLO Qualification (Preferred)Skills and Experience: FPSO/Tanker experience required Experience and knowledge of Cargo off-take operations to DP shuttle tankers.Demonstrated HLO experience Knowledge and understanding of relevant marine management processes, techniques and legislation and apply it in the workplace.Excellent communications ability (written and verbal).Be a team player and have a high degree of self and team motivation.Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of safe system of work systems (e PTW) and participating in assessing the risk management.Experience in competency assessment preferred.What Altera Can Offer: We live by our #TEAM values - they always guide our actions, no compromises.A Competitive Salary, Health Cash Plan, Critical Illness, Pension, Group Personal Accident, Group Life Assurance as well as many other benefits.An open collaborative workplace where you will have immediate impact.Challenging work in a dynamic environment.Regardless of individual backgrounds, identities, and preferences, our commitment to excellence, and to develop professional experience as we deliver organisational outcomes.Altera Infrastructure is a leading global energy infrastructure services group focused on the ownership and operation of offshore energy assets.Here you find around 750 engaged and ambitious professionals working together in an inclusive work environment.
