Engineering Operations Technician (EOT), DCEOAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers and equipment that ensure continual access to cloud services. Join a diverse team of engineers, security experts, and operations managers to help us deliver high standards of safety, security, and capacity at low cost.The EOT team plays a vital role in AWS Infrastructure Operations, supporting 24/7 cloud data center growth. This position reports to the DCEO Manager within the Data Center Engineering Operations organization.We seek a highly motivated individual interested in managing AWS operations within critical facilities operated by Colocation Providers. Training will be provided for less experienced candidates.The EOT is responsible for coordinating with Colocation Providers to operate and maintain critical electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, batteries, PDU, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, CRAHs, PLC controls, building monitoring systems, and fire suppression systems. The role also involves frontline technical support and managing rack power events.Key responsibilities Maintain 24/7 operations with flexible shifts and on-call duties.Coordinate daily operations and routine maintenance with providers and internal teams.Participate in emergency drills and support response protocols.Respond to alarms and escalate issues per SLAs.Assist with rack power-up installations and assessments.Maintain safety and security standards.Manage small-to-medium projects to improve data center operations.Use AWS tools for maintenance, incident, and asset management.About the team & AWSWe value diverse experiences and encourage applications from all backgrounds.
